TOP 5 MOST ANTICIPATED GAMES OF 2012

Seeing as how the year is half-way over pretty much it’s time for my TOP 5 GAMES I want seriously seriously bad in the coming months. Let’s get started.

1. TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON
Release Date: August 21st 2012
Developer: High Moon Studios
The original TRANSFORMERS game, War for Cybertron, was absolutely balls to the wall badass. It was the origin story of the Autobot/Decepticon war and the story started off with you as the player being the almighty Megatron in search of Dark Energon and the eventual rise to leadership of the heroic Optimus Prime as he leads his people off the doomed Cybertron to other star dimensions and worlds before Megatron and his madness completely annihilates all life.
It was a fantastic game with great shooting mechanics and solid multiplayer. The sequel is looking to make it all even better with better everything in gameplay, more variety in what to do and even the ability to create your own Transformers for multiplayer. Also Dinobots.
I fucking love Dinobots. I cannot WAIT for this game.

2. BORDERLANDS 2
Release Date: September 18th 2012
Developer: Gearbox Software
Borderlands was a match made in heaven back when it first came out. It was the shooting mechanics of Call of Duty and Halo meeting the RPG-ness of Fallout with the loot craze of Diablo.
It was pretty badass.
The sequel looks to make it all even more crazy. With new classes, new skills, way more guns then before which is already overkill considering how many guns were in the original and the fact you can play four player co-op shooting giant monsters, driving cars in a big open world and do quests together reeks with fun.
And it comes out the day before my birthday. Gears of War 3 was my birthday present to myself last year since it came out so close to my birthday, this year? It’s Borderlands 2.

3. POKEMON BLACK & WHITE 2
Release Date: October 7th 2012
Developer: GameFreak
The original Black & White games were one of my favourites of last year. I simply cannot get enough of choosing a Pokemon and defeating gym leaders and saving the world as a teenager against crime organizations.
The direct sequel takes two years after the events of the original. Unova has frozen over, cities are different and you star as a new character in a new town who is guided by the heroes of the previous game.
New gym leaders, new story and the addition of all the other Pokemon are brought into the region now. Looks like I get to use Magikarp in Unova now. The game comes out later on this year, I just can’t wait to be the very best like no ever was.
Ughh I love Pokemon.

4. ASSASSIN’S CREED 3
Release Date: October 30th 2012
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Next up is one of the juggernaut games of this year. ASSASSIN’S CREED 3 is shaping up to be the best open world game from Ubisoft yet. It takes place during the American Revolution. You play Connor, a Native-American assassin tasked with discovering the connection between The Templars and the war that will unite a nation under a common banner.
There’s entire wildernesses to explore, side quests galore and the new improvements to graphics, combat and exploration make this game already a winner. Doesn’t matter how you slice it, AC3 will be in the run for Game of the Year.
And the funny part is, not a lot of people will argue with that. It’s going to be awesome.

1. HALO 4
Release Date: November 6th 2012
Developer: 343 Industries
Remember how I said ASSASSIN’S CREED 3 will be the juggernaut? Well HALO 4 would be the leviathan. Words cannot describe how much I love the Halo franchise. I love Master Chief, Cortana and the gang. I love the epic score, the timeless multiplayer that keeps pure and to this day is not dull and the grand scale and history behind the games legacy and how it shaped the industry to what it is.
HALO 4 follows Master Chief after he’s saved the galaxy from The Covenant and Gravemind. He’s awoken from hyper sleep by Cortana as their ship is being bombarded by enemy attacks. They crash land on a planet of steel.
The Forerunner planet.
The Forerunners are the ancestors of mankind. In Halo, we were supposed to be the heirs to their legacy but The Covenant believed their were the ones worthy which sparked the war of the original trilogy. Halo is timeless, it’s such a blast to play and I simply cannot wait to see what the story is in the next instalment.
HALO 4 is my most anticipated game of the year, tea bagging the competition to the curb in spades.
All hail the return of the Chief.
